Sharon L. West has been performing
as a professional singer for five years. If not for the many projects and community
activism responsibilities, she might be seen in California, Texas or Florida performing or maybe in Nevada with George Clinton, performing with drummers like Mike Flythe which she was requested to consider to join the band for Summer 2009 and beyond.
A former regular member on Monday nights at the Black Musicians Union aka NAMA, St.
Nicks Jazz Pub, several midtown and east side jazz clubs and restaurants, Ms. West through her community mindedness has also created the MightyDreamer Angels project that has won in part, the sponsorship of CulturarteNY; created, housed and directed by Dr. Jorge Pina, Poet of several poetry and psycho-analysis books and Director of
USMLE Hispanic Academy, a program in Washington Heights that effectively prepares Latino Doctors for the United States Medical Licensing Examination.

Gaku Takanashi
Acoustic, Electric Bass
Born
in 1964 Tokyo. While studying at collage in Japan, Gaku Takanashi
played electric bass for many prominent Japanese pop stars. 20 years
ago he had a musical epiphany and came to New York to become an
acoustic jazz musician. He performed with many Jazz and R & B,
Reggae musicians as well as Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Supremes,
Brian Jackson.
