About Us

The cultural arts center, Culturarte NY and MightyDreamer Productions are dedicated to serving Northern Manhattan communities by providing valuable services as separate entities and together through the newly formed MightyDreamer Angels Program. MightyDreamer Angel members not only enjoy live jazz and other musical performances every other Thursday, they also immerse themselves with learning stage performance, stage technical support, and all aspects of multimedia production. These are trades that could help with mental health, job placement with our associates or independently, job seeking skills and public speaking engagements.

HOW to BEOME a ANGEL IN TRAINING

Young adults must become a member of the AIT program which runs about five and six months. Participants meet at least once a week and should be prepared to purchase and wear uniforms in the Culturarte, NY headquarters at all times as well as when taking required field trips within the five boroughs of NYC. As an Angel in Training, you can expect to do special projects that may require working outside of the facility and participant in rehearsals and or shows as performers and or tech. The MightyDreamer Angels AIT program rewards participants with a network of supportive professionals and skills that can be used worldwide for any business endeavor and throughout one's lifetime as well as can help to insure a bond of partnerships within the Angel family of members for life. It also enables the graduates to become mentors for the next generation of classes.

We now have a jazz series launched in August 2009 that helps fund the program and that beginning September 24, will be bi-weekly generally from 7:00 pm until 9:00 through December 31, 2009.

The show stars the professional sultry singing of Sharon L. West . Hosted by recording artist Ron Austin, the Vegas like show features Jazz and R&B flavored songs by three lead singers, duets with Ron and Sharon and performances by some of the top musicians in the tri-state area, many of whom travel around the world as professional musicians.

The show is being pegged as Vegas Nights of the Vegas quality of the look, feel and showmanship of the performances.

Gia Williams former member of the Harlem Gospel Choir, N.A.M.A and a frequent hotel singer in Japan is one of the singing teachers for the MightyDreamer Angel program as well as a frequent bi-weekly guest vocalist at the ANACAONA Dominican Theater inside the culture arts center, Culturarte, NY, where the jazz series, Culturarte and MightyDreamer Angels are all housed.
